Advanced Methyl Folate (5-MTHF):

Folic acid is essential for prenatal health, primarily for healthy fetal development and to prevent neural tube defects.

Unlike regular folic acid, methyl folate – the biologically active form of folic acid is metabolized even in the presence of MTHFR mutation, a genetic variant that affects up to 50% of women and is known to interfere with the body’s ability to process folic acid. Since folate helps lower homocysteine, a risk factor for Alzheimer’s, methyl folate is especially important for elderly people who have an MTHFR mutation.

Directions: As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1) capsule daily, preferably with a meal, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
